Kaziranga National Park is famous for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Kaziranga is a biodiversity hotspot. It is home to various species of animals, birds and plants. Among other animals and birds, mention may be made of tiger, elephant, bear, buffalo, bison, deer, boar, sloth, monkey, pelican, hornbill, woodpecker, heron, adjutant etc. It also hosts different species of orchids and aquatic animals like tortoises, fish etc.
